Overview of The Bicurious Times of Florence Lee

·         But I always thought I was straight… It wasn’t until a girl caught me staring and kissed me did I question.
·         Her name was Malika. She strutted around like she was the most important thing that ever walked the earth. She had honey for hair and caramel for skin. And she probably tasted just as sweet.
·         I wanted to pull Lika on top of me and take her, right then. But a sly smile that worked its way across her lips told me this was all a joke. A terrible, cruel joke.
·         The party picked up around us in swirls of smoke and lights… Everyone seemed to know everyone else. They didn’t mind the gay couples. They didn’t mind any of the couples. They just minded the pounding music surrounding them.
·         “I want you,” Lika whispered in my ear. She kissed my cheek and then settled on my lips. Her tongue slid into the crevices of my mouth and my knees went weak. I fell into the darkness but didn’t hit the ground anytime soon.
·         When I hit the ground, a billow of dust flew lazily around me. It cleared to show a pair of red pumps. I looked up at two long, silky legs. The leather wrapped around her long torso. Her flaming red hair was cropped close to her angel face. Her features were light, but the look on her face was something fierce. She looked like a Goddess… And if she was, then I wanted to be the God to her Goddess
·         The Goddess led me ahead with a charm in the stride of those legs. I couldn’t help but follow her.
·         “This is a bicurious trip. You’re wondering what you are? Gay? Straight? Bisexual? Well, we’re just going to put you out there and see what you fall for more. Male or female? Or maybe both. But there’s no better way to tell than a few kisses.”
·         “My friend thinks you’re hot,” Renny stepped in to save the day. Of course. Coffee Girl’s façade dropped. She gave me a confused look then, oddly enough, smiled.
                “Really?”
                “Um… yeah,” I smiled sheepishly.
“My shift’s almost over. I’ll meet you outside in fifteen minutes?”
                “Um… yeah… sure.”
“Great. See you then,” she winked and bit her lip suggestively.
·         “Do not doubt me! Do I look like the kind of person that one doubts?!” Renolds said.
“Look at your apartment. Look at what you’ve done. You’ve practically kidnapped me just so I would stop questioning my sexuality! What is that, your job? If so, then this is a rather sketchy franchise you’re running here, dear sir.”
·          “You’re on a sex-capade. You can do whatever the hell you want. It’s like Vegas. What happens on a sex-capade, stays on a sex-capade. Except for STD’s… STI’s… whatever the hell they’re called. Those tend to haunt you for awhile. So be careful, Young One. ”
·         A new girl came into the room. She didn’t look lost or high or intoxicated. Her blue eyes gleamed clearly…
“I’m Astrid,” she said.
·         “So… Where are we, anyways?” I started panicking again.
·         ”The night I found you! I was going into that party your friend took you to. You were sitting under a tree crying. When I asked what was wrong, you told me about your friend and your questioning. I said I’d help you. You were a little wasted so you agreed,” Renolds said.
·         The door opened and Astrid walked in. Her blonde hair was pulled back, showing her heart shaped face. Her dark eyes danced around and landed on me. My entire body was on edge: my spine was straight; my heart was racing; my hands were shaking…
·         My sexuality. I considered it. Girls were nice. They were simple and easy, at least for me. Guys… I hadn’t had so much experience with. I knew I was into girls, that much was certain. As for the entire concept of a sexual orientation label, it seemed irrelevant.
·         “This is Tedd. With two d’s. He’s one of my old friends. He’s a nice kid. Today, you’re his responsibility.”
“Renolds told me she found you frazzled and drunk. She’s a humanitarian, honestly. Can’t help but help the poor bastard who’s trying to stick the spoon in the outlet.”
·         I followed Tedd up to his apartment. As he grabbled for his keys, the door swung open and I found myself staring, surprised, at Astrid.
·         There was a pause. The world stopped for a second. Nothing moved, no one breathed. The world didn’t turn. The oceans didn’t wave. No one said a word. Astrid leaned in, and she kissed me. It was soft and simple. A friendly peck. But it was a kiss
